As well as composing and performing, Alex enjoys educating and currently teaches at Music Maker Workshops in Ahwatukee, having been there for three years. Alex teaches trumpet, trombone, french horn, and piano privately while co-directing an advanced jazz ensemble at the studio. Alex is always looking to take on more students, so check out the Educational Resources tab on this website or contact him for lessons or consultations.
For all independent composition work, Alex produces, mixes, and masters himself (with the exception of 2019's Life Story, which was recorded at Tempest Recording by Clarke Rigsby and mastered by Nathan James at Vault Mastering with Alex mixing the project). Alex currently works primarily in Logic Pro X, but has experience with Pro Tools, Reaper, and Mixcraft in terms of DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) software.
Outside of music, Alex enjoys writing that is both professional and personal. Alex currently writes for Music Maker Workshops' blog and monthly newsletter as well as for his personal blog. In terms of fiction work, Alex writes short stories, poetry, and long- form work with his 2019 novella Life Story, accompanying the album.
Alex is open for commission and performance opportunities, private lessons, school outreach, music production work, trumpet tracking, blog and copy-writing, editing and more.
